This group covers the non-Asian restaurants, cafes, bars and food businesses that also appear in a mixed-cuisine food scene, including American diners, pizza, Mexican food, burgers, steakhouses and bakeries. Standard US restaurant norms apply: lunch and dinner service with a quieter stretch between, cards and tap-to-pay accepted almost everywhere, and a tip of 15-20% customary for table service. Fast food and quick-service counters expect payment up front and tipping is optional. Bars check ID for anyone who looks under 30, and the drinking age is 21 nationwide. Many restaurants in this group take reservations online through third-party platforms, while casual and fast-food spots are walk-in only. Sales tax is added at the register on top of the menu price and varies by city and state, so the final total is usually a few percent higher than the posted prices suggest.

Bronx is in New York, in the Northeast, where four distinct seasons shape local life: hot humid summers, snowy winters that can close businesses for a day, and a dense pattern of towns where walking, transit and street parking all matter. Getting around Bronx is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across New York's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

What an incredible experience from start to finish! My family and I were visiting New York last weekend to see our son and his girlfriend and after looking forward to stopping at Borgatti’s, we arrived just five minutes after they had closed. We were standing outside, so disappointed because we were flying back to Michigan the very next day and thought we’d missed our chance. The owners overheard us, came outside, and without hesitation reopened the shop just for us. That kind of kindness and generosity is almost unheard of these days. They took the time to help us, and we were able to purchase several packages of their ravioli. We froze them at my son’s apartment overnight, packed them carefully, and shipped them home to Michigan. Tonight, we finally had them for dinner, and all I can say is… WOW! The spinach and ricotta ravioli tasted exactly like the homemade ravioli my grandma used to make. Fresh, authentic, delicate, and absolutely delicious. Every bite brought back wonderful memories. Thank you not only for making exceptional pasta, but for showing such genuine kindness and hospitality. You turned what started as a huge disappointment into one of the highlights of our tr

While visiting Manhattan back in March I made a special trip up to Borgatti’s for their famous Ravioli (I got the Meat and Spinach). It was hyped up by a priest friend of mine from Jersey. Let me tell you, it was worth the trip, in fact I’m going a couple hours out of my way this weekend just to get my hands on some more! Well done!

I love Borgatti's. The managers are extremely friendly and welcoming and the pasta is great. They make everything from scratch and offer Fresh and dried pasta in a lot of different varieties as well as some of the more rustic and toothsome pastas that I love and are hard to find elsewhere. They make quality pasta at a really decent price. Plus, they're extremely friendly! There are other places in the Bronx where you can get good handmade pasta, but I recommend Borgatti's. Next time I return I will have to try their ravioli. And if you live out of state, they ship too.

Absolutely fantastic! The frozen large lobster and ricotta ravioli is a MUST get!! Best I’ve ever had. There’s a substantial amount of lobster and very meaty. Not overtly salty. Bellissimo!

Best Fresh Pasta in the Bronx – Borgatti’s is a True Icon! Borgatti’s Ravioli & Egg Noodles is hands down one of the best pasta shops in all of New York. Located right in the heart of Arthur Avenue, this family-owned gem has been serving up fresh, handmade pasta the old-school way for generations. Their ravioli is perfectly filled and tender, and the egg noodles are silky, flavorful, and cook to perfection every time. You can literally taste the tradition and quality in every bite. Whether you’re making a Sunday sauce or a quick midweek meal, Borgatti’s pasta elevates everything. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable, and always ready with a recommendation. The shop itself is charming and full of that classic Bronx Italian character you just can’t fake. If you’re serious about pasta, Borgatti’s is a must. It’s a Bronx institution and an essential stop for anyone who loves authentic Italian food.
